Arthur Grünewald studied at the Munich Academy and went on a study trip to Paris in 1923. His paintings are in the Munich City Museum [Stadtmuseum München] and the Lippstadt City Museum [Stadtmuseum Lippstadt], among other collections.  The Jewish painter was deported to Auschwitz in 1943 and murdered there.
