Death Approaching (schreitenden Tod), also known as Striding Death,

a preliminary study for the etching "Die Zeit geht hin" ["The Time is Up"] (Vogel 89), an etching which includes the text ""Die Zeit geht hin, der Tod kommt her, ach wer doch immer fertig wär" ["Time is coming, death is coming, oh whoever would have finished"]

circa 1905-1906

inscribed in pencil bottom right by the artist's widow, Nannina Greiner née Duranti: "Nachlass von Otto Greiner / Nannina Greiner / Rom 15 April 1925".
